Case Study: Import Airfreight Project

The cargo was both over dimensional and exceedingly heavy (1 piece, 21,340kgs @ 310 x 255 x 255cm).
Upon arrival (Sunday) ,one of the biggest challenges was the handling and retrieval from the Qantas terminal, Qantas handling equipment had a maximum capacity of 18 tonne and as such, ADM’s solution was to arrange 2 x cranes to be available at Qantas terminal to lift the cargo directly onto our dedicated vehicle pending delivery to the customer.
Consignment was delivered to the satisfaction of both the import customer and supplier.
