The cargo was transported on flat rack shipping containers due to the items being too large for traditional 6-sided shipping containers.
The goods were delivered to a rural location via a low-loader flatbed truck, where they were carefully unloaded by crane onto the customer’s trailer.
The project was completed to the satisfaction of both the import customer and supplier.
ADM Global was engaged in a large import airfreight project (door to door service).
The cargo was both over dimensional and exceedingly heavy (1 piece, 21,340kgs @ 310 x 255 x 255cm).
A (new/potential) customer approached ADM Global with respect to origin logistics (pick/scan-pack). They had been building (kitting/co-packing) back to school packs for a number of their customers in Australia over many years, however they wanted to explore the option/possibility of shifting the program offshore citing possible cost and lead time savings.
