IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL CUSTOMERS
Changes to Quarantine Fees on Customs Entries
Dear Valued Client,
Please be advised that effective 1st December 2015 the quarantine fee/component included in “other charges” (more commonly known as EEC charges) on the customs entry has changed (excluding SAC’s). The Customs fees/component has not changed.
In effect, this means that:
- Airfreight entry quarantine declaration fees have gone up from $16.00 to $33.00 (an increase of $17.00 for total “other charges”).
- Seafreight entry quarantine declaration fees have gone up from $15.00 to $42.00, however the container levies ($30.00 per FCL/FCX and $8.00 per LCL) have been removed, which means a significant reduction in “other charges” on the entry for multiple container FCL/FCX shipments.
Quarantine AIMS service/overtime fees have changed slightly, however they do not effect the “other charges” component on the customs entry.
