IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL CUSTOMERS
Direct Terminal Container De-hires
Dear All.
As some of you may already be following daily news reports along with correspondence from the state government, shipping lines have increased the volume of empty containers to be de hired directly to the stevedores rather then continue to be de hired at the empty container parks.
As a result this has unfortunately had a major effect on supply chain and transport operations and due to this, the shipping lines have implemented a direct de-hire fee.
The fee is expected to be between $90.00 – $100.00 per container depending on terminal and state within Australia and will apply to all full containers moving directly back to the stevedore.
ADM Global are not accepting this fee lightly, we have received correspondence from our industry association in consultation with the ACCC who is closely monitoring this development.
